The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art

A Museum Once ForgottenBefore serving at the helm of CKG Independent Public Relations Consulting, LLC, Kruger-Gruendyke served as Director of Marketing and Communications for The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota. In this role she led several successful campaigns for the institution including the Master Plan Completion public relations and marketing initiative in 2007. The Master Plan Completion was the culmination of building four new buildings, reestablishing a performing arts theater on the grounds, renovating the existing buildings of the Estate, improving the grounds and gardens and raising a $50 million endowment in less than five years. With minimal budget and no assistance from outside consultants or agencies, Kruger-Gruendyke successfully landed major international, national, regional and local press and broadcast publicity surrounding the Master Plan Completion. Major art publications including Apollo Magazine and Museum News were among those successes. In addition to media relations, advertising, community relations and marketing, Kruger-Gruendyke led the initiative to produce a 75-page book documenting the Ringling Museum’s transformation. That book served as a valuable publicity and fundraising tool. The campaign was recognized by regional public broadcast media network WEDU with the 2008 Be More Award.
