Chrissy Kruger-Gruendyke, APR, founded CKG Independent Public Relations Consulting in January 2009. Her professional experience includes serving as Director of Marketing and Communications for Florida State University, The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota, Fla. until in 2008 when she relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has also worked in public relations for the fourth largest of Florida’s 14 deep water seaports at Port Manatee, Palmetto, Fla. Kruger-Gruendyke served as the 2003-2006 president of the Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA). Since 2004, Kruger-Gruendyke has received two FPRA state Golden Image Awards, four FPRA state Awards of Distinction, one FPRA state Judges Award, three FPRA chapter Grand All Image Awards, six FPRA chapter Image Awards, three FPRA chapter Awards of Distinction and two chapter Judges Awards. She received the FPRA President’s Award for Communications, the FPRA President’s Award for Website, and the 2004 Most Likely To Succeed and 2005 Member of the Year FPRA chapter awards. Additionally, her work while at Port Manatee received accolades from the American Association of Port Authorities. Kruger-Gruendyke is a graduate of Leadership Sarasota, class of 2008. She has a bachelor of science degree in Communications from Florida State University and received accreditation in public relations (APR) in 2005.
